Career Pathways
Save Time, Save Money
High school students enrolled in Career Pathways take a planned sequence of courses focused on a career area. The Pathway gives students the opportunity to earn certificates, a license, or free college credit while also earning high school credits.
Contact your high school guidance counselor or your Florida State College dual enrollment campus coordinator for eligibility requirements and application approval.
Career Pathway Options
Career Academy Program
Duval and Nassau County Career Academy students may have the opportunity to earn free college credit through dual enrollment or credits leading to licensure or certificates when they begin to create their four-year high school plan. High school counselors or Florida State College dual enrollment coordinators can help students determine their eligibility for dual enrollment within their chosen Career Pathway.
High School Dual Enrollment
Students in the eleventh and twelfth grades can enroll in a sequence of related technical courses at the college level while earning high school credit. Students apply to the program through their high school counselor and, if accepted, take their academic and technology courses at a Florida State College campus, online, or in some cases, at their local high school.
Planned Sequence of Study in a Career and Technical FieldStudents may use their electives to enroll in a sequence of related career and technical education courses at the high school level that could be articulated to Florida State College or to other colleges and universities.
