Online Scholarship Application - Frequently Asked Questions
How do I save the information that I entered on a page?
To save your information (without submitting) simply click the "Save and Keep Editing" link at the bottom of the page.
How much time do I have to complete an application?
There is currently no time limit to complete an application. You can leave the page open as long as needed; however, you are encouraged to periodically click "Save and Keep Editing" to protect your work against unexpected interruptions, such as a power loss.
If I’m only interested in one scholarship, how do I apply?
To apply for any scholarship opportunity, you will need to fill out and submit the General Application. After successfully submitting the General Application, you will be matched with scholarships for which you meet the criteria. Then you will have the option to apply for individual scholarships that require additional information. To do so, first locate the desired scholarship by clicking on the "All or "Search" tabs on the "Opportunities" page. Once you have located the scholarship you would like to apply for, click on the "Apply Now" button next to that scholarship, answer the additional questions, and click "Finish and Submit." For some scholarships, you may see "None required" instead of the "Apply Now" button, meaning that you are automatically considered for those scholarships and no further action is required.
Can I return to complete the application later?
Yes. You can return to complete the application at any time.
What is the best way to complete the essay questions?
Essay boxes on the application have no word limit. You may answer by typing in as much information as you would like. Some essay questions include a file upload button. For these questions, you are encouraged to write your essay in a word processor program (such as Microsoft Word) and then to upload the file directly to the Scholarship website.
Can I print a copy of my completed application?
Yes. You can hit the "Print" button on your web browser to print out a copy of your application.
Can I change any answers after completing my application?
Yes. As long as the closing date has not passed, you can change/update your application with your most recent information.
Will I receive an e-mail confirmation of my completed e-mail application?
The Scholarship website system currently does not send email confirmations regarding applications, but there are a number of other confirmation messages within the system. For instance, when you successfully submit the General Application, the gray check mark to the left of the application will turn green. Additionally, a pop-up message will appear at the top of the page letting you know your application has been successfully submitted, and you will be able to see the scholarship status as "Submitted" as well.
