Online Course Testing
Much testing for online courses is done online, but there may also be required proctored testing. Regularly scheduled proctored testing is held at the location noted in your course outline, or you may choose one of the alternate testing sites.
Alternate site testing is provided through Open Campus Assessment Services for students in the Jacksonville area. Tests are scheduled at Florida State College at Jacksonville campuses and centers on designated days and times. If you choose an alternate site, it will be your designated site for the entire term (i.e. you cannot take different tests at different sites). Please note that you will be required to show proper identification at the test site. Rooms of the alternate test sites may change each semester.
Note: Students in the First Coast area should be aware that not all faculty allow for alternate site testing. Please check your instructor's syllabus, course outline or contact your instructor for more information.
Please call (904) 632-3118 or email dhook@fscj.edu with any questions about alternate site testing.
For questions concerning appointments, please call (904) 632-5009 or email cjowers@fscj.edu.
Remote Site Online Course Testing
Remote online course students will need to provide an Online Remote Site Proctor Approval Form to the Open Campus Assessment Services in order to have their exams sent to their test proctor. The student is responsible for any fees charged by the approved remote test site or vendor. It is strongly recommended that a completed form be sent to the Open Campus Assessment Services at least three weeks in advance of your desired test date. This will ensure that you can meet course deadlines.
See Remote Site Testing for details.
