Florida State College - South Campus
The Choice for the Next Transition in Your Life
Welcome students, prospective students, parents and visitors.
Florida State College at Jacksonville offers students a chance to transition from one stage of their educational/occupational lives to another. Students attend our campuses and centers to upgrade their current occupational skills, complete a two-year occupational degree to transition into a career, complete the first two years of a baccalaureate degree, complete one of our ten baccalaureate degrees, or take a credit or non-credit course to enhance their lives.
If it's time to explore that next transition in your life, then come and visit our beautiful campus nestled beside the campus lake, among the trees (including the majestic palm garden) off Beach Boulevard. South Campus faculty, administrators, and staff are ready to assist you with your educational needs. Although the campus is known for its strong programs in the arts, fire science, and technology; we offer a broad array of courses (both credit and non-credit) to meet your needs.
South Campus is an ideal place to explore your educational pathways and plan for a bright new future. Our admissions, assessment, financial aid, career services, counseling/advising, and students with disabilities staff will assist you as you discover or refine your educational goals. South Campus has a well-trained and highly qualified faculty who teach in our technology-enhanced classrooms and who focus on student learning. Our Library and Learning Commons (LLC) offers various electronic databases, open computers, tutorial assistance, well qualified librarians and library staff, and many other learning services.
Our schedule of classes has many options and choices. Daytime, evening, weekend, and online options exist through South Campus and Open Campus. We want to be your choice for higher education on the Southside. Please visit our campus, attend one of our many excellent programs in the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts, cheer on our sports teams, or attend a program sponsored by our faculty or student government. The South Campus is part of Florida State College at Jacksonville, which has a forty plus year history of serving the greater Jacksonville community.
Let me know your feelings about South Campus. We are here to serve the needs of our students and are anxious to have you join us on campus.
