South Campus

Located just eight miles from the Atlantic coast, between St. Johns Bluff Road and Huffman Boulevard, South Campus offers a full spectrum of college credit, community education and adult education classes. South Campus can meet the needs of students seeking personal enrichment, professional development, high school diploma or equivalency, technical certification, A.S. technical degrees and liberal arts A.A. degrees. South Campus students can complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and then transfer to a university. In addition, South Campus is the site of the Jacksonville Regional Fire/Rescue Training and Education Center, home of the Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Fire Science Management.

The faculty and staff at South Campus aspire to create a learning community in which students find inspired teachers and a service-oriented staff. Many faculty and staff have been recognized for excellence both locally and nationally.

Arts

South Campus is home of the art, music and theater programs for Florida State College. These programs are housed in the Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts, a four-building complex consisting of a 530-seat proscenium theatre, a studio theater, an art gallery, a conference center, music studios, visual arts labs, media-arts computer labs and graphic design technology labs.

Sports

A 2,000-seat Sports Center is home to the STARS athletic teams in men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and women’s tennis.
