Softball won two games in the loser's bracket, beating Daytona State 9-1 and Indian River 2-0, but lost out on Saturday night to Santa Fe, 2-0. The Stars placed third in the state.
Student-athletes Mia Stone (women's basketball) and Sarah Osterbye (women's volleyball) are sending "Hero Boxes" to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as they participate in the FSCJ Soft Spots Learning Community.

Slider Hits Three Home Runs
Alexis Slider, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colo., became the first Florida State College softball player to hit three home runs in a single game.
The Florida State College Golf Classic is held each spring to provide scholarship assistance to the Stars student athletes. More than 100 individuals and 40 businesses come together to participate in a day of great golf and fellowship.
Florida State College offers a diverse program of intercollegiate athletics. Students may participate in the collegewide intercollegiate athletic program regardless of the campus where they attend classes. Students interested in participation should contact the coach or the Director of Athletics.

Florida State College is a member of the Mid–Florida Conference of the Florida College System Activities Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association.
In addition to the challenges of playing on the court or in the field, Florida State College athletes work hard at their academic studies. Many of our student-athletes have been recognized for their hard work off the field.
Intramural and recreational activities are offered by Student Life. Activities include flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, bowling, table tennis, horseshoes, billiards and golf.
