Assessment and Certification
Information Literacy and the Information Literacy Assessment (ILAS)
As of May 6, 2011 the Information Literacy Assessment (ILAS) is not a graduation requirement at Florida State College at Jacksonville. For full details, please contact our College counseling/advising office. Because this change is recent, students' Connections records may still indicate a need to take the ILAS, however, the ILAS is not a graduation requirement as of May 6.
Students interested in increasing their information literacy skills may enroll in LIS 1000, Information Literacy, a one-credit online course. Information literacy will also be addressed in the Student Life Skills courses SLS 0005, SLS 1101 and SLS 1103. For further details on these and other information literacy options and resources, contact any campus or center Library/Learning Commons.
