I have heard that the 2002 GED® test series will be phased out at the end of the calendar year of 2013 by the GED® Testing Service. If I am a new test taker, who has never taken any portion of the GED® test, how long will I have the opportunity to take the paper-based test at Florida State College at Jacksonville?
The College has made a decision to cut off testing to "new" testers on October 1, 2013 on the paper-based test. "New" testers are those individuals who have not taken any subtest of the GED® exam previously. After this date, the College will switch to testing those test takers who have taken a subtest previously. Those individuals who are "new" test takers can take the GED® computer-based test.
