Accelerated College

Accelerated Programs

Florida State College has several accelerated programs designed to help busy professionals complete their degrees faster, more efficiently, and with less cost than the traditional semester system.

Classes in these programs typically meet in the evenings or on weekends and blend classroom learning with distance learning to minimize the time spent in the classroom. That’s good news for part-time students and busy adults, especially those working or caring for a family.

Details on these accelerated programs, including exactly what courses you will need to take, and recommended schedules to move you through faster, may be found by clicking on the buttons on the left side of this screen.

Accelerated programs are not for everyone. But if you are a good student, and need to complete your degree in a hurry, they may be for you.

What You Already Know Can Accelerate You Even Faster!

In addition to following an accelerated program, you may be able to reduce the number of classes you take by gaining college credit for what you have already learned (including non-college learning). We call it prior learning, and we can help you get credit for it through a process called prior learning assessment. For more on how you can turn your prior learning into college credit, visit credit for prior learning.
