Distance Learning
Welcome to the Virtual College at Florida State College, where convenience and the power of technology bring you a world of distance learning options. We at the Virtual College understand that your life is filled with busy schedules, family and job commitments and numerous other obligations. That’s why our flexible and convenient distance learning program has become the preferred choice among busy students and working adults. Our courses have been especially designed for people pursuing educational goals while leading very busy lives!
Distance learning is simply learning from a distance, usually from home or from a conveniently located off-campus site. Distance Learning allows adults to earn college credits, even entire degrees and certificates, without ever leaving home. At Florida State College, Distance Learning makes use of the Internet, software, TV, PDAs and other mobile devices.
Online Degrees and Certificates
Florida State College is proud to offer 5 degrees and 10 certificates that can be completed entirely online. That means you can further your education and career on your schedule, without being tied to time and place-based classes. Is midnight Tuesday a good time for you to logon to your class? How about working around your busy week by becoming a weekend scholar? If there is a course in your program of study you'd prefer to take in the classroom, you are free to do that also. The choice is yours. Learn more.
Online Courses
Online Courses from all academic departments are available via Internet access. World Wide Ready courses at Florida State College are 100 percent online and do not require time and place-bound testing or orientation sessions. Some courses do not require proctored testing. The Florida State College class schedules offer in-depth detail about online courses and identify those that are 100 percent online. Learn more.
