Intercollegiate Athletics We offer a diverse program of intercollegiate athletics at Florida State College at Jacksonville. At South Campus, we offer basketball (men’s and women’s), tennis (women’s) and volleyball (women’s), and at North Campus you will find baseball and softball. Florida State College at Jacksonville students, employees and their families can attend athletics events for free — just bring your ID card. Students may participate in the collegewide intercollegiate athletic program regardless of the campus where they attend classes. Students interested in participation should contact the coach or the director of athletics and physical education. Florida State College at Jacksonville is a member of the Mid–Florida Conference of the Florida Community College Activities Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association. Scholarships for Student Athletes Every spring, the Florida State College at Jacksonville Golf Classic is held in an effort to provide scholarship assistance to the Stars student athletes. Each year, over one hundred individuals and forty businesses come together to participate in a day of great golf and fellowship. The 2008 Golf Classic produced over $50,000 in scholarship funds to enhance the Athletic Department. Intramural/Recreational Activities We also offer both group and individualized intramural/recreational activities. Activities include flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, tennis, bowling, table tennis, horseshoes, billiards and golf. Athletics News |

| 500 and Counting: Congratulations to Coach Mary Andrew who, after 20 years of coaching women’s volleyball at the college, reached the 500-win mark. She will be recognized at the National Volleyball Coaches Convention in Tampa in December. | ||
| Softball National Tournament: Since winning the FCCAA State Championship, the softball team traveled to St. George, Utah, and placed fifth in the NJCAA National Tournament! Read more in the team’s national tournament blog. | ||
| Tennis National Tournament: The tennis team placed fourth in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament. Arianna Lopez and Chelsey Lynn are the #3 Doubles Team National Champions and Ariana Yakovtseva is the runner-up for #2 Singles. Read more. | ||
