Susan M Lehr

Susan came to the College in 1993 and has twenty-four years of experience with the Florida Legislature in Tallahassee, Florida. She provides collegewide leadership and has responsibility for all state and federal governmental affairs. Susan supervises the Director of Federal and Agency Relations in her work with congressional offices and federal agencies. As Vice President of Government Relations, Susan has responsibility for all legislative functions, to include planning, coordinating, preparing and implementing legislative advocacy on behalf of the College. She assists the College President in representing the College to state and national entities and is responsible for the development of legislative policy, funding, oversight and other related education initiatives.

Susan graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Social Work.

Elizabeth Baldwin

Elizabeth came to the College in 2006 and has over 15 years’ experience in Washington, DC representing institutions of higher education and scientific and professional associations. She is responsible for coordinating the College’s government affairs with congressional offices and federal agencies and advocating on behalf of the College with these offices. Elizabeth also serves as a liaison between the College and federal agencies and departments in pursuit of grants, directed appropriations and participation in federal programs; assists in identifying federal funding and policy development opportunities; tracks federal legislation and policies affecting the College and its students; and develops advocacy positions and materials for federal and private funding requests. Elizabeth graduated from SUNY Cortland with a B.S. in Biology, the Univ. of Illinois with a M.S. in Entomology, and from The George Washington University with a M.S. in Science, Technology and Public Policy.
