We offered our first classes in 1966, opening our doors then as a two-year university transfer organization – a junior college.
We matured in the '80s and '90s into a community college, building the largest workforce education program in the state of Florida and responding quickly and effectively to a diversity of community and employer learning needs.
Now, as Florida State College at Jacksonville, we bring new, expanded capability to offer economically relevant, high-value bachelor’s degrees with all the flexibility, convenience, and student-centered focus that have become the hallmarks of our relationship with our community.
Whether you are seeking to join our committed team of educators or to associate with us in some creative way to further enhance our mission, we’re glad you’re here.
