Peterson, Jennifer 2018Jennifer Peterson, GPC

Director of Resource Development

Jennifer joined the Grant Resource Development team in May 2006. Prior to coming to the College, she had been employed by the University of Georgia since 1997. Jennifer earned her B.A in History from Florida State University and M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia. She also holds a Grant Professional Certification (GPC), a national credential recognizing proficiency in resource development standards such as tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated achievement and a commitment to service for public and private philanthropy.

Resource Development Officer

 Tyler joined the Grant Resource Development team at Florida State College at Jacksonville in August 2008. Tyler earned her B.S. degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida and a M.A. in Children’s Literature from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. She also holds a Grant Professional Certification (GPC), a national credential. Tyler has over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector and five years in higher education with various responsibilities, including program management, contract compliance and the development of ongoing and new resources.

 Resource Development Officer

Kristin joined the Resource Development team in September 2019. She received her BA and MS degrees in Sociology with a concentration in Research. She has managed research projects in the social-science and biomedical fields, including non-therapeutic research on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease) at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. Prior to joining the College, she served as a university pre-award administrator in sponsored research.

Watson, Jonita 2018Jonita Watson

 Resource Development Officer

Jonita joined FSCJ and the Resource Development team in August of 2007.  From May 2011 – December 2015, Jonita served as a manager in the college’s Student Services division.  In January 2016, she returned to Resource Development.  Jonita earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Florida State University and a M.S. in Clinical Counseling and

Psychology from Troy University.  She has over 15 years of experience in grant writing, contract and program management.  Prior to joining the College, Jonita administered $6 million in state and federal human services funds.

Resource Development Grants Manager

Patti began her career with Florida State College at Jacksonville in Resource Development early 2006 upon completing her B.S. in Management, worked in the College President’s Office as a Project Coordinator and returned to the grants team in February 2014 as a Resource Development Grants Manager. Prior to coming to the College, Patti worked in the grants department at Duval County Public Schools.

 

Cobb, Jeremiah 2018Jeremiah Cobb

Campus Grants Manager

Jeremiah has been with FSCJ since March of 2016. With 12 years’ experience in grants management, contract administration and regulatory compliance, he is well versed in project development and implementation. Jeremiah has extensive experience in programmatic and fiscal management, and he was influential in developing grant management processes for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, City of Jacksonville, and the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Jeremiah is a graduate of Iowa State University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management, and he earned a MBA with academic honors from Webster University. He grew up in Long Beach, California, and on Chicago’s Southside, but has called Florida home since 2004. Jeremiah serves on the board of Priority Love & Care, Inc., and is joint owner of a local bespoke clothier/image consultant company, The Bello Mo Group.

Resource Development Project Specialist

Dennis has been in the department since 1992. He has a B.A. in English from Lipscomb University in Nashville and has taken graduate courses in Computer Information Technology at Webster University. Prior to working at FSCJ, Dennis was a copy editor for the business section of The Florida Times-Union, Assistant Copy Editor at the Bristol Herald Courier in Bristol Virginia, Copy Editor at The Messenger in Madisonville, Kentucky and a reporter at The Mount Airy News in Mount Airy, North Carolina.
