Summary: Is ethical leadership in politics even possible?

Event Details

In every culture and in every time, humans ask the same question over and over again: what the heck is wrong with our politics? It is a question that has no easy answer. Is it a problem with the process? Or are we just not electing the right people? To answer this question we must first understand what motivates our personal and political ethics. Only then can we delve into the murky waters of what truly motivates politicians to behave the way they do.

This presentation will provide a historical perspective on the various ways ethical leadership has been and continues to be defined so that we can better understand how our personal perspective on ethical leadership impacts how we view the political process and our own role as leaders.

Speaker Jennifer Hancock is considered one of the top writers and speakers in the Humanist world today. Focusing on humanistic leadership, critical thinking, personal ethics and personal responsibility, Jennifer’s “dynamic” and “captivating” presentations will leave you “a good deal better informed and always inspired.” She brings a delightful sense of humor, creativity, and compassion along with a no-nonsense approach to all of her presentations.

Location details: The October 1 event will be held in G-1709, and the October 11 event will be held in the center court.
