Veterinary Assistant Program (E-Learning)

Prepare for a rewarding career working with animals through FSCJ Continuing Workforce Education’s Online Veterinary Assistant program. This comprehensive online training is designed for individuals interested in supporting the health, safety, and well-being of animals in a veterinary practice.

Throughout the program, students will develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to perform essential duties as veterinary assistants. Topics will include animal care and handling, veterinary office procedures, basic animal health and wellness, client communication, and other responsibilities commonly performed by veterinary assistants. Students will also learn how to interact professionally with pet owners and effectively communicate important information about animal care, helping clients better understand their pets’ health and wellness needs.

Upon completion, students will have a strong foundation in veterinary assisting and the knowledge and skills needed to pursue entry-level opportunities in veterinary practices, animal hospitals, clinics, and other animal-care settings.
