The Center for International Education is proud to announce the first annual professional development mini-conference as part of International Education Week, and we hope that you will participate. We seek faculty and staff who wish to share their knowledge on topics such as engaging with other cultures, addressing diversity and bias in education, fostering cultural equity, globalizing courses, facilitating virtual exchanges, promoting international engagement and more.
The Inaugural International Education Mini-Conference
The Center for International Education and the Academy for Teaching and Learning are planning the Inaugural International Education Mini-Conference during International Education Week. We seek faculty, staff and students who wish to share their knowledge on topics such as engaging with other cultures, addressing diversity and bias in education, fostering cultural equity, globalizing courses, participating in virtual exchanges, promoting international engagement and much more. This mini-conference will be a wonderful opportunity to share our knowledge and experiences toward a more global community at FSCJ.
This is a FREE event for our FSCJ community and others who wish to learn more about the role of international education in our community.

Call for Proposals
The committee is seeking proposals for in-person sessions from faculty and staff. We invite you to submit a proposal that addresses one or more of the following areas:
- International Affairs/Relations
- The Global Economy
- World Languages and Cultures
- International Travel
- Study Abroad and Study U.S.A.
- Globalizing Courses
- Faculty and/or Student Exchanges
- Virtual Exchanges
- International Learning and Technology
- Global Climate
- Global Health
- Cultural Competence
- Cultural Equity
- Current Events
Proposals are reviewed by the proposal committee based on their alignment with the conference theme: embracing a global learning community.
- Sessions run concurrently and are 50 minutes in length.
- In order for sessions to qualify for the salary incentive, they must be meaningful, well-curated, aligned with the pedagogical design of the conference, and meet the required guidelines for such approval.
- The content, once approved, should not be significantly altered. Substantial changes require that the proposal be resubmitted and approved by the proposal committee.
