About Dental Assisting (C.C.)
The Dental Assisting Career Certificate (C.C.) program provides students with dental assisting classes that cover the theoretical, practical and clinical skills necessary to receive an entry-level position in a dental office. Dental assisting training includes dental basic sciences, dental radiographic techniques, dental materials, sterilization and infection control, chair side assisting, office management, dental specialties and expanded functions.
The Dental Assisting program has been approved by the Florida Board of Dentistry to prepare students for certification in expanded functions and dental radiology.

Accreditation
The program in dental assisting is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and has been granted the accreditation status of“approval without reporting requirements”. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
